Six days left!
Welcome to the last two weeks of the school year! We have a lot going on, so I just want to give you some due dates, test information, and times and dates for what is going on the last couple weeks this year. Please see the information below and don't hesitate to email with any questions!
There are also quite a few pictures in the 'pictures' section of the website from the CancerWalk. There are some great pics!
On another note, I just want to thank you for being such a great group of students and parents. This year has been a lot of fun, and also very busy. I am so proud of what my class has accomplished this year. They were able to help out at In the Image, Paris Ridge, and today at the Ronald McDonald House making cookies for the families currently living there. They raised money in the fall for the Focus Feud fundraiser (and came within two points of winning the competition), and in the spring for the CancerWalk.
I think what has been absolutely wonderful to see though this year, beyond all that they have done for the Caledonia and GrandRapids communities, is how much they have helped out each other. Whether it's helping out a friend with cleaning their locker, or helping their table partner to understand a problem on a page, these students exemplify, every day, the kindness and benevolent leadership skills that what we hope each of our Duncan Lake students possesses when they leave us. They help others without question because they know it's the right thing to do.
So thank you, for working with Mr. Nixon, Mrs. Sanford and me this year, and raising such wonderful children!
